Bourbon Barrel Pens - Handmade ballpoint ink pen, twist mechanism, Parker style refill from bourbon barrel staves

These pens are crafted from authentic bourbon barrel staves sourced locally from the heart of bourbon country in Kentucky! The staves are cut down and turned into pen blanks which are finished by hand on the lathe. The pens feature a Parker style ballpoint refill and quality twist mechanism. Living in Southern Indiana and a Kentucky native I am in a great location to get the staves from all the local distilleries! Each stave is cut down from its original curved shape and further milled until it reaches the end size of the pen blank. I turn each of the pens on the lathe and then assemble them by hand! Due to the natural characteristics of the wood, each pen is unique! This is one of my favorite parts of turning the pens, I never know quite how the grain will look. Some of the pens hold more of the char from when the barrels are assembled than others but they are all beautiful and each has its own history. Each pen includes a stand, made from the stave to remind you of the history, and an informational tag. These make a great gift for you or any bourbon aficionado!
